This HIStoric Motown 25th anniversary celebration was taped before a live studio audience on March 25, 1983, and broadcast on NBC on May 16, 1983.
Billie Jean : This Emmy-nominated performance by Michael Jackson, which was part of the celebration of 25 years of Motown, is generally considered to be his breakout performance as a solo performer. It is also the first time Michael did his iconic “moon walk” publicly.
